Monty Merrill, P.T., M.S.., O.C.S, F.A.A.O.M.P.T. - owner

Monty Merrill, P.T. received his Bachelor of Arts Degree at U.C. Davis in 1982 and earned his Master's Degree in physical therapy from U.S.C. in 1989. Monty is board certified as an orthopedic clinical specialist by the American Physical Therapy Association. He is a full fellow in the American Academy of Orthopedic Manipulative Physical Therapists. Monty has taught in the Doctorate program in physical therapy at the University of the Pacific since 1989. Monty's areas of expertise include orthopedic physical therapy, athletic performance and functional training. Monty is most proud of his three children Jeff, Lyndsey, and Hannah.


Lauri Merrill, P.T., M.S. - owner

Lauri Merrill, PT, received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from U.C. Santa Barbara in 1981 and her Masters Degree in Physical Therapy from U.S.C. in 1984. She has been with Lodi Physical Therapy since 1989 and, along with Monty, purchased the practice in 1992. Her specialty areas of interest are Women’s Health issues including incontinence, pelvic floor dysfunction, and pregnancy. She also enjoys working with athletes of all ages. Lauri especially enjoys being mom to her three children, Jeff, Lyndsey and Hannah.

Fatema Ghani D.P.T.

Fatema Ghani, P.T. received her Undergraduate Degree in Biology from U.C. Riverside in 2003, and her Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy from the University of the Pacific in 2006. Fatema enjoys running, painting, and camping with her family in her spare time. At the clinic she has a passion for working with geriatric patients.

Piper Barnes D.P.T

Piper Barnes, received her Bachelors Degree in Biology from the University of Portland in 2007. She continued her education at University of the Pacific where she earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2010. Piper takes pleasure in using functional rehabilitation to restore patients’ abilities to participate in activities they enjoy the most. When not at the clinic, Piper enjoys running, golfing, hiking, traveling, scrap-booking, and Fantasy Football.

Renee Mercado, D.P.T

Renee Mercado received her bachelors of science in Kinesiology at CSU Sacramento in 2007, and Doctorate of Physical Therapy at University of the Pacific in 2010. Renee enjoys working with post surgical and lower extremity patients and helping them return to doing what they love. When not in the clinic Renee enjoys running, reading, and attending San Francisco Giants games.

Zachary Mertz, P.T.

Zachary Mertz received his Bachelors in Science in Interdisciplinary Health and Rehabilitative Science from Fresno State University in 2009, and his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at University of the Pacific in 2011. Zack enjoys working with athletes of all ages as well as post surgical patients in helping them achieve their full potential. In his free time, he enjoys going on runs with his wife and dog, as well as spend time with his family and friends. He also enjoys attending sporting events, especially Oakland A's games.

Katie Graves, D.P.T

Katie Graves, PT, DPT, OCS joined the TSH Lodi Physical Therapy team in 2003, after earning her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from University of the Pacific. She is recognized by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist, and has completed the Folsom Long Term Orthopedic Manual Therapy Course in 2004 and 2015. Throughout her career, she has also enjoyed teaching physical therapy, as both an adjunct faculty member, and assistant professor for University of the Pacific’s School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.

What Katie loves most about working at TSH Lodi Physical Therapy is having the opportunity to work with a wide variety of patients, in a team atmosphere committed to helping people live healthy lives. It is our job to customize a treatment plan individualized to each person's needs and overall movement goals. Outside of work, Katie enjoys spending time with her husband, Dan and their two children, Ryan and Kylie. In her free time, you may find her on the tennis court, taxiing between after school activities, or possibly headed up North for a long weekend at the Graves' family ranch.

Max Yeagley, D.P.T

Max Yeagley received his Bachelors Degree in Sports Medicine from University Of The Pacific in 2013 and his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at University of the Pacific in 2017. Max originally joined our team in 2013 as a Physical therapy Aide, obtained his doctorate in PT and then came back as a Physical Therapist in 2017. Max enjoys working with patients from all walks of life, helping them return to both functional and recreational activity. He continues to develop manual therapy and PNF skills through continuing education. In his spare time, Max loves to read, exercise at home and watch horror movies.
